Goat Milk

Description

Two former city dwellers that decided to leave the city for the country life. We were living in the suburbs of Denver when the pandemic hit and quickly realized that the world was changing. We both wanted a few acres to grow a garden and possibly raise some animals, Little did we know the adventure that was about to begin.

It has now been just over 2 years since we purchased 126 acres of dry land prairie in northern Colorado and we have added more than 150 animals to our homestead (animal count definitely varies by season), learning so much in the process. We are excited to be raising food for our own family and learning how to be more self sufficient. Our hope is to raise healthy, farm-raised food for our family and hopefully yours!

Goat Milk

Description

Welcome to Black Barn Hollow. We are a micro-dairy raising Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. This small breed is known for its high volume (for size) and great-tasting milk. The butterfat content for a healthy Doe can be as high as 12%-15%, making it not only amazing to drink and use in meals but also great for making soaps, lotions, creams, tasty cheeses, and our absolute favorite…Ice Cream.
We take every precaution to ensure the highest cleanliness and handling and test our milk each milking session. If you are looking for more information about our Herd-share program, please email or call. We are here to help.
